Helpful Information
Billing & Insurance
Bright Hope Therapy accepts private pay only. We offer superbills that parents can submit to insurance companies for reimbursement.
sCREENINGS
We offer mass screenings in Mississippi private schools for grades K-3 upon request. Our screenings provide great insight into each child’s speech, language and literacy skills. When deficits are noted, we contact parents with information about the evaluation and intervention services we can provide.
FAQ
-
What are your payment options?
We accept all major credit and debit cards and HSAs (health savings accounts) for payment through Ivy Pay, a HIPAA-secure payment system for therapists.
-
how long are speech therapy sessions?
We typically treat students in 30 minute sessions, once or twice a week depending on your child’s disorder and level of severity. Students who are diagnosed with dyslexia often opt for sessions 3-5 times a week.
-
Do you require a doctor's referral?
You do not need referrals for private pay speech and language therapy. Check with your insurance if a physician referral is needed for superbill reimbursement. If necessary, you can get a referral from your pediatrician.
-
Do you treat dyslexia?
Yes! Dyslexia is a language-based literacy disorder that can be treated by a variety of professionals including SLPs, dyslexia therapists, and reading interventionists. We provide language and literacy evaluations and interventions for disorders including oral and written language disorders, specific comprehension deficits and dyslexia. Dyslexia interventions should be evidence-based, systematic, explicit and interactive.

My child did not qualify for services in the public school system. Can you still treat them?
Yes, we are able to provide services to children who did not qualify for school services but still demonstrate a need for additional therapy support. Students will not qualify for school services if they do not meet MDE eligibility criteria. We treat many students who are referred by parents who want speech services even though they did not qualify through the public school system.
-
Can my child receive your services during the summer if they have an IEP?
Yes! Many parents opt for summer sessions to maintain their child’s progress. For summer sessions, no evaluation is needed with a current IEP or service plan. We offer in-person and virtual therapy options.
